West Ham United faced off against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier this afternoon as they looked to pick up a positive result on the road. The Hammers were solid in the first half but were held to a 0-0 draw at half-time.
The East London outfit made a poor start to the second half as they conceded the opening goal in the 48th minute when Bryan Mbeumo scored for the Bees. Ivan Toney doubled Brentford’s advantage just 16 minutes later with a good header. The Hammers ended up losing the contest by a 2-0 scoreline which serves as a bitter blow to their Europes hopes this season

The Polish keeper made a few important saves but will be disappointed after conceding two goals today.
RB: Vladimír Coufal – 6.5/10
Coufal was a solid tackler of the ball and cleared his lines when required. He also had a lively game going forward.
CB: Craig Dawson – 6/10
He made some crucial clearances at the back but won’t be pleased after conceding two goals in the second half.
CB: Kurt Zouma – 6.5/10
Zouma made a few last-gasp clearances but had to come off in the 28th minute.

He had a good game when defending inside his half and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Tomas Soucek – 6/10
Soucek failed to offer enough protection for his teammates at the back and offered very little in the final third. David Moyes won’t be happy with his performance today.
CM: Declan Rice – 7/10
The English sensation anchored the midfield with conviction but lacked the cutting edge in the opponent’s half.
RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10
He made one good chance but had a quiet game in the attacking end of the field. It was a lackluster display from him today.
CAM: Manuel Lanzini – 6/10
The Argentine failed to influence the game and got replaced in the 56th minute.
LW: Pablo Fornals – 6.5/10
The Spaniard worked hard defensively and made one good opportunity going forward.
ST: Michail Antonio – 5.5/10
He struggled to threaten the Brentford goal and got substituted after the hour mark.
