The Villans, on the other hand, lost 4-0 to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the league.
Steven Gerrard will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation against the Foxes. Coutinho will be tasked with creating opportunities. Meanwhile, Danny Ings will look to convert the chances.
4-3-2-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup Vs Leicester City
Defence
Emiliano Martinez will start in the goal for the upcoming away encounter. The Argentine shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Calum Chambers could come in for Ezri Konsa given the latter’s concerning run of form, while Tyrone Mings should retain his position at the heart of the backline.
Ashely Young starts at the left-back position as Lucas Digne isn’t expected to return anytime soon following a shoulder injury. So, Matty Cash might fill in on the opposite flank as the right-back. They will look to stretch the opposition’s defence and create chances for the forwards.
Midfield
Douglas Luiz will partner with Nakamba and John McGinn to hold the central midfield positions, with the former occupying a more defensive role.
Phillipe Coutinho will slot into the attacking midfield role with Jacob Ramsey in an advanced position off Villa’s central striker.
Attack
Both Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings have struggled in the recent games, but the latter is the most likely to lead the line against the Foxes. Ings will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net.
