Arsenal clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier tonight as they hoped to collect all three points on the road. The Gunners made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 16th minute when Jean-Philippe Mateta scored with a good header from close range. Jordan Ayew doubled Palace’s advantage with a clinical finish just eight minutes later as Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time interval trailing by a 2-0 scoreline.
Wilfried Zaha added another goal for the Eagles from the penalty spot in the 74th minute as Arsenal crashed to a disappointing 3-0 loss in the London derby.
Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against the Eagles.
GK: Aaron Ramsdale – 5.5/10
The Gunners keeper made a couple of saves but won’t be pleased after allowing three goals during the 90 minutes.
RB: Cedric Soares – 6.5/10
He maintained a solid defensive shape at the back and made a couple of decent runs down the right flank.
CB: Ben White – 5.5/10
White looked shaky at the back and produced a lackluster display on the defensive end of the field.
CB: Gabriel – 6/10
The Brazilian talent cleared his lines when needed and was good on the ball. However, he failed to stop the Eagles from wreaking havoc inside his penalty area.
