Leeds United will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they focus on grinding out a positive result on the road. The Whites suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend which has drained their confidence ahead of this clash.
Jesse Marsch could set his Leeds team up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to name a strong team for this game. We can expect Rodrigo to get the nod to lead the line for the West Yorkshire outfit up top. However, Patrick Bamford will definitely miss this game due to an ankle injury.
3-4-2-1 Leeds United Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Illan Meslier will function in between the sticks for the Whites after shipping in four goals versus Spurs in his last league start. Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk will make up Marsch’s back three this weekend as they try to keep a clean sheet during the 90 minutes.
Charlie Cresswell will offer cover for the defensive positions on the Whites bench.
Midfield
Luke Ayling will operate as the right wing-back while Junior Firpo hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-sided wide player.
Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw will anchor the midfield for the Yorkshire giants as they try to gain an upper hand in the game at the centre of the park.
Daniel James and Raphinha could get a chance to express themselves as the free-flowing attacking midfielders in the opponent’s half.
Mateusz Klich and Jamie Shackleton will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Rodrigo will spearhead Marsch’s attack up top. He will have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for the Yorkshire club in the final third.
