In a recent report, Bild (subscription required) stated that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are showing interest in bringing him to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2023.
Bellingham’s Brilliant Record In German Football This Season
The English whizkid has caught the eye by producing a handful of eye-catching displays as a key member of Dortmund’s midfield. Bellingham has registered six goals and 13 assists in 37 appearances for the German club this season in all competitions.
The 18-year-old has been a joy to watch in Germany and has proven his value as a productive midfielder by averaging 1.4 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 1.5 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after making 83.3% of his attempted passes in the top tier of German football (stats via whoscored).

Bellingham can do a bit of everything at the centre of the park. He can get stuck in with some crunching tackles to make life difficult for the opposition in midfield. The English sensation can secure possession back for his team and is a great dribbler with the ball at his feet. He has got the vision to create a few decent chances for others around him and can also contribute by scoring his fair share of goals in the final third.
A midfielder of Bellingham’s quality and potential will be a massive coup for Los Blancos if they can find a way to get him on board in the summer of 2023.
