Jesse Marsch is looking for his first win as a Leeds United coach as his team takes on Norwich City on Sunday. The Whites are currently going through a crisis, having lost all of their last six matches in the Premier League. It has dragged them into the relegation zone and has led to the departure of Marcelo Bielsa. Leeds are looking for an upturn of fortunes against Norwich City, in what could be a potential six-pointer.
Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs Norwich City
Defence
Marsch persisted with a 4-2-3-1 formation in his second game in charge of Leeds United. Given the short of supply options, he will have no reason to shift away from it.
However, there could be certain changes in personnel, with Luke Ayling, in particular, likely to be shifted back to his desired right-back role after struggling at centre-back. In his stead, Diego Llorente could assume the role, forming the heart of the four-man backline alongside Pascal Struijk.
With Junior Firpo suffering a knock in midweek, Stuart Dallas could be reshifted to left-back, in what could be a traditional back four. However, it is a defence that has conceded goals for fun this season and so the onus will be on Illan Meslier to keep the Norwich City attack at bay and keep a valuable clean sheet.
Midfield
Moving into midfield, Kalvin Phillips is unlikely to be back before the end of the next international break. As such, Marsch may have no option but to continue with Adam Forshaw and Robin Koch in the double-pivot. The two need to offer more defensive solidity in the middle of the park, given the way how Aston Villa ran them ragged in the last game.
Attack
As for the attack, Marsch is likely to continue with Jack Harrison and Raphinha in the wider attacking roles. They will be expected to offer pace and dynamism going forward.
However, the onus of offering creativity will be on Rodrigo Moreno, operating just behind the returning number nine Patrick Bamford. Marsch has no shortage of alternatives, though, with Tyler Roberts and Dan James both pushing for starts.
