Manchester City welcomed Sporting CP at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure another win at home and secure qualification into the next stage of the UEFA Champions League in style. Both sides canceled each other out in the first half as Man City were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
The Mancunian giants kept dominating possession in the second 45 minutes but lacked the cutting edge in the final third. The contest finished with Man City being held to a 0-0 draw in front of their home fans.

Gundogan engineered some decent chances for others around him and was quite clever with his movements towards the opponent’s penalty box.

He made a few good runs with the ball but didn’t get too many sniffs at goal.

Foden fashioned a couple of meaningful openings in the final third but failed to find the back of the net.
