In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool are set to rival Manchester City for Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino. It has been revealed that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting the Spanish wide player.
Pina’s Impressive Rise At Estadio de la Cerámica
The Las Palmas-born talent is having a terrific campaign with the Yellow Submarine after producing a run of impressive displays on the right side of their attack. Pino has featured in 33 matches for the Spanish side this season, netting seven goals and grabbing four assists on all fronts.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye by averaging 0.9 shots, 0.8 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even distributed the ball relatively well in the opponent’s half as he has made 78% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
Is Pino A Good Choice For Liverpool?
Pino is a decent dribbler with the ball and can create some inviting openings for his teammates in the attacking third of the field when he is playing with confidence on the field.
The Spanish whizkid deserves a lot of credit for scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the opposition half. Pino can even retain possession with conviction in the final third but is still quite raw and would need time before he can taste success at the highest level.
At 19, Pino has got the potential to become a future star in European football. The Villarreal prospect could add more depth to Jurgen Klopp‘s attack and could serve as an ideal replacement for Takumi Minamino, who has struggled to break into Liverpool‘s first XI this season.
Klopp has got the experience to get the best out of a youngster of Pino’s potential at Anfield in the coming seasons. Hence, the La Liga winger will be a decent choice for the Reds to pursue when the transfer window commences at the end of the campaign.
