Leeds United welcomed Aston Villa at Elland Road earlier tonight as they hoped to grind out a result at home. The Whites made a solid start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 22nd minute when Philippe Coutinho scored with a deflected attempt. The Yorkshire giants struggled to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Matty Cash doubled his side’s lead in the 65th minute with a powerful finish. Just eight minutes later, Calum Chambers found the back of the net for the Villans with a sublime strike. The contest ended with the Whites suffering a 3-0 loss in front of their home supporters.
