Everton faced off against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier this afternoon as they looked to pick up a win on the road. The Toffees made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 25th minute when Marc Guehi scored with a good header. Jean-Philippe Mateta doubled the home team’s advantage just 16 minutes later with a tidy finish as the Merseyside outfit trailed 2-0 at the half-time break.
Frank Lampard’s men were hopeless in the second half as they conceded their third goal in the 79th minute when Wilfried Zaha found the back of the net from close range. Will Hughes put the icing on the cake for Palace just eight minutes later as Everton crashed to a dismal 4-0 defeat away from home.
