Barcelona have experienced a rollercoaster of a campaign in Spanish football. However, the Catalan giants have still got a lot to play for in both domestic and European football.
Barca’s Season At A Glance
The La Liga giants made a poor start to this season as they struggled to find consistency in terms of getting results on the field. Ronald Koeman got sacked in the process. However, Xavi has since managed to stop the decline with Barca now in with a chance of securing a runners-up finish in La Liga and even, winning the UEFA Europa League trophy later this year.
Even then, the new Barca boss failed to stop his team from getting eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey earlier this season. The Catalan giants need to learn from those embarrassments if they want to end this campaign on a high.

What Should Barca Boss Xavi Target This Season?
Barcelona‘s main aim should be to finish as high as possible in the league standings as well as make a solid push for the UEFA Europa League crown towards the latter stages of this campaign. There are still a lot of reasons for the Barca fans to be excited about following this international break.
The Catalan club have got a two-legged tie against Eintracht Frankfurt to look forward to in Europe and are being considered by many, as one of the favourites to win the Europa League trophy. Hence, Xavi will be confident about his men’s chances of some European success this season.
Barca have got a couple of crucial matches coming up versus Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt after this international break. It could be a make-or-break period for them, so Xavi would hope that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembele can maintain their good form and bang in a handful of important goals at the Nou Camp in the remainder of this campaign. All three of them produced a great display collectively in Barca’s 4-0 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier this month which would keep them in high spirits right now.
