Arsenal faced off against Watford at Vicarage Road earlier this afternoon as they hoped to collect all three points on the road. The Gunners made an excellent start to the contest as they took the lead in the fifth minute when Martin Odegaard found the back of the net. However, Cucho Hernandez equalised for Watford just six minutes later with an excellent overhead kick before Bukayo Saka gave his team the lead again at the half-hour mark when he scored with a great strike. Arsenal went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Gabriel Martinelli put daylight between the two sides in the 52nd minute. Watford scored a late consolation via Moussa Sissoko’s goal as the contest finished 3-2 in favour of the Gunners.

The English keeper made a lot of important saves but still ended up shipping in two goals today.
RB: Cedric Soares – 7/10
Soares gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made one key chance in the final third.
CB: Ben White – 7/10
White cleared his lines when needed and was a threat at the other end as well.
CB: Gabriel – 6.5/10
He tried his best to protect his penalty box but will be disappointed after allowing a couple of goals during the 90 minutes.
LB: Kieran Tierney – 7/10
Tierney earned the ball back a few times and engineered two key chances in the final third.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 8/10
The Norway international got stuck in with some solid tackles and managed to create some decent chances in the final third. He gave Arsenal the lead in the fifth minute.
CM: Thomas Partey – 7/10
He anchored the midfield well and was lively going forward.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 6/10
Xhaka struggled to get a foothold in the game but made one key chance in the attacking end of the pitch.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 8/10
The English speedster caused a few problems for the Watford defenders and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Alexandre Lacazette – 7/10
The French striker had some lively moments in the final third and picked up two assists during his time on the field.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 8/10
He was a constant menace in the final third and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 52nd minute.
