In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry. It is understood that the Gunners could make a move to bring their former player back to North London with Gnabry’s current Bayern contract set to run out in the summer of 2023.
Gnabry’s Decent Campaign In German Football
The 26-year-old is having a decent season at the Bavarian club after producing a series of productive displays on the right side of their attack. Gnabry has registered 13 goals and nine assists in 34 matches for Bayern during this campaign across all fronts.
The Stuttgart-born talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 1.5 tackles, 2.1 shots, 1.4 key passes and 2.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He has even been tidy when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass success rate of 81.9% in league football (stats via whoscored).
Is Gnabry A Good Choice For Arsenal?
Gnabry can put his pace to good use when trying to lose his marker out on the wide areas. He doesn’t mind making a tackle and can complete a few dangerous dribbles in the attacking end of the field.
The German sensation has proven his worth as a prolific goal-getter when he is playing with confidence on the field. He can even retain possession well in the opponent’s half and has got the vision to cut open the opponent’s defence with a killer pass.
Gnabry has taken great strides towards improving himself since he left Arsenal back in 2016. Hence, the Gunners would be wise to make an attempt to bring the German talent back to the Emirates Stadium on a cut-price deal this summer.
The Bayern Munich wing wizard is good enough to secure a regular spot in Mikel Arteta‘s first XI and could help the North London giants bridge the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of Premier League football in the coming seasons. Thus, Gnabry will be an excellent choice for Arsenal to pursue when the transfer window reopens later this year.
