Chelsea clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today as they looked to earn all three points on the road. The Blues were solid in the first half but was not able to break the opposition down as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Thomas Tuchel’s men finally managed to break the deadlock in the 89th minute when Hakim Ziyech scored with a tidy finish. The contest ended with the Blues earning a narrow 1-0 win in the London derby.

He didn’t have a save to make in the game and secured an easy clean sheet away from home.
RB: Andreas Christensen – 7/10
Christensen was defensively solid inside his half and was lively on the ball.
CB: Thiago Silva – 7/10
The Brazilian centre-back earned possession back a couple of times and didn’t take too many risks when clearing the danger at the back.
CB: Antonio Rudiger – 7/10
The German talent cleared his lines when required and did enough to restrict the Eagles from scoring today.
LB: Malang Sarr – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and made a couple of decent chances in the opposition half.
CM: N’Golo Kante – 6.5/10
Kante was always looking to make things happen from midfield but ran out of gas in the second half and got replaced in the 73rd minute.
CM: Jorginho – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield really well but offered very little in the final third.
CM: Christian Pulisic – 7/10
Pulisic made a few decent runs with the ball but there was no goal for him today.
RW: Hakim Ziyech – 8/10
He made a few excellent runs with the ball and ended up scoring the only goal of the contest with a good finish in the 89th minute.
ST: Romelu Lukaku – 6/10
Lukaku had a quiet game in the final third and was fortunate to last the whole 90 minutes.
LW: Kai Havertz – 6/10
He had a couple of bright moments but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

Kovacic added some energy to Chelsea’s midfield.

He offered very little after coming off the bench.
