Frimpong has enjoyed a decent run of form in Germany during this campaign after producing a series of eye-catching performances on the right side of Leverkusen’s defence. The 21-year-old has registered two goals and eight assists in 30 matches for the German club this season in multiple competitions.
The Amsterdam-born talent has been an influential presence at both ends of the field as he has completed 1.3 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.4 clearances, 1.0 key passes and 2.0 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. Frimpong can use his pace and agility to make a few decent runs with the ball out on the wide areas. He has proven himself to be a decent defender at the back and can keep the ball moving quite well in the opponent’s half. The Dutch talent has added a handful of goals and assists to his name this season which makes him a good choice for Los Blancos to pursue in the summer.
At 21, Frimpong has a very bright future in European football. Therefore, Carlo Ancelotti should strongly consider sealing a move for the Dutch prospect in the summer.
