In a recent report, Libertad Digital revealed that Manchester City are in pole position to land Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland but could face competition from Real Madrid. It is understood that the Mancunian giants have a great chance of signing the Norway international after ‘working seriously and intensely’ towards bringing him to the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland is having another brilliant campaign in German football after putting in a series of match-winning performances as the focal point of Dortmund’s attack. The 21-year-old has found the back of the net on 23 occasions and secured up six assists in 20 matches for the German club this season across all fronts.
The Norwegian frontman has missed a few games due to injury but has given a good account of himself by averaging 4.1 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga.

Is Haaland A Good Choice For Manchester City?
Haaland has proven his worth as a deadly finisher in front of the opposition goal over the past few years. He excels at generating a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal and can even create some meaningful openings for others around him.
The 15-time Norway international is a good header of the ball and can win his fair share of aerial duels up top. Haaland can even make some exciting runs with the ball when he is playing with confidence on the field. However, he needs to improve his link-up play if he wants to be a success story at Man City.
Although Haaland might not be the best fit for Pep Guardiola‘s style of play at the Etihad Stadium. However, at 21, he is already amongst the most prolific strikers in European football.
