Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bounce back from a shocking defeat to Burnley as they take on Leeds United on Saturday. The Lilywhites have endured a mixed run of form lately and are desperately looking to gather winning momentum, in their bid to keep up with the race to finish inside the top four, come the end of May. A win against Leeds, to that end, could be critical, especially with Manchester United drifting away in the fourth spot.
Predicted Tottenham Lineup vs Leeds United
Defence
Tottenham Hotspur have a few injury concerns in the defensive department, as Japhet Tanganga and Pierluigi Gollini are doubts heading into this game. But both their potential absence could be inconsequential as Antonio Conte looks to continue with Hugo Lloris in between the sticks.
Ben Davies, too, should continue at centre-back ahead of Davinson Sanchez, as the left-back forms the back three alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier. The pressure will be on the three to provide a more assured display in defence after succumbing to a defeat at the hands of Burnley in midweek.
Midfield
Moving into midfield, Rodrigo Bentancur remains a doubt after picking up a nasty knock against Burnley. The Uruguayan international’s involvement in this game looks unlikely and he may join Oliver Skipp in Tottenham’s list of absentees.
Their absence should pave the way for Harry Kane to occupy the midfield position alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, as they look to offer solidity in the second line of press. Winks, in particular, is one player worth keeping an eye on, as the Englishman often tends to struggle against high-pressing opposition.
Elsewhere, Conte should make one change in the wing-back department. Sergio Reguilon is tipped to replace Ryan Sessegnon on the left-hand side after returning to full fitness, whereas Emerson Royal may retain his place on the opposite flank.
Attack
As far as the attacking unit is concerned, Dejan Kulusevski remains a guaranteed starter, ahead of Lucas Moura. The Juventus loanee is hoping to once again form a deadly attacking combo alongside Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane.
Conte has no shortage of alternatives, though, with Lucas, Steven Bergwijn and Sessegnon all capable of offering threat going forward.
