Tottenham Hotspur pulled off an emphatic 3-1 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium to hand the defending champions their first defeat in 16 games. Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring in as early as the 4th minute to hand Spurs the lead. Ilkay Gundogan then equalized in the 33rd minute to make it 1-1 at half-time. Harry Kane made it 2-1 in the 59th minute to give Tottenham Hotspur the lead which was cancelled out by a late penalty from Riyad Mahrez. Harry Kane scored the winner in the 5th minute of extra-time to take all 3 points from the Etihad.

Hojbjerg anchored the midfield and carried the ball high up the pitch to release pressure.
LM: Ryan Sessegnon– 6.5/10
Ryan Sessegnon was solid at the back and showed great desire to progress the ball.
RW: Dejan Kulusevski – 8.5/10
In his first Premier League start, Kulusevski finished brilliantly to give Spurs the lead. His 86% pass accuracy showed his quality as he hardly put a foot wrong. He also provided the assist for Harry Kane to score the winner.
ST: Harry Kane – 9/10
Kane was the best player on the pitch scoring 2 goals and also put Son through to set up the first goal.
LW: Heung-min Son – 8/10
The South Korean international assisted brilliantly for the first 2 goals as the City defenders found it difficult to cope with his pace.
