The Reds are unbeaten in their last 9 games in all competitions and come into this game with a 6 game-winning run on their back. With the form the Reds are in at the moment, Jurgen Klopp will expect his team to get the job done on Wednesday. It is expected to be a fascinating clash with two top sides competing for a place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Inter Milan
Defence
Alisson Becker will continue to start between the sticks and will look to build on his back to back cleansheets coming into this tie.
With no injury problems in the squad, Jurgen Klopp is expected to field his best centre-back partnership of Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip at the heart of the defence. Their aerial ability will be key in defending the likes of Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez upfront for Inter Milan. Ibrahim Konate will be on the bench to provide cover for the defensive options.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will be the starting full-backs and will have the full freedom from Klopp to bomb forward and create chances for the Liverpool attackers. Konstantinos Tsimikas will be on the bench to provide cover.
Midfield
The midfield trio of Fabinho, Thiago and Naby Keita are expected to get the nod in the middle of the park for the Reds. Liverpool are unbeaten this season so far when Fabinho and Thiago have started together and they will try to keep it up again on Wednesday. Fabinho’s ability to win duels in the middle of the park and Thiago’s ability to control the game and his passing range will be the key for Liverpool. Naby Keita is expected to get the nod ahead of Jordan Henderson who had a minor injury problem last week and therefore will have to settle for the bench.
The likes of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harvey Elliot will be on the bench and provide options to Jurgen Klopp to bring on in the later stages of the game.
Attack
A front three of Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Mohammed Salah will lead the line for the Reds on Wednesday. Diogo Jota has been in terrific form recently whereas both Mane and Salah have recently come back from their national duty last week. Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz will be on the bench and hope to make an impact later on in the game.
