Barcelona welcomed Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp earlier today as they looked to secure all three points in front of their home fans. The Catalan outfit made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the eight-minute when Yannick Carrasco scored with a calm finish. However, Jordi Alba equalised for Barca just two minutes later with an excellent strike. Gavi completed the turnaround for the home side with his deflected header. Ronald Araujo added another goal for the Catalans as they cruised to a 3-1 lead at half-time.
Dani Alves killed the game off when he found the back of the net in the 49th minute. Luis Suarez scored a consolation goal for Diego Simeone’s side just nine minutes later as Barca ended up earning an impressive 4-2 win at home.

The German keeper made a couple of good saves but won’t be happy for conceding two goals today.

He made two key chances going forward and scored a good goal in the second half which killed the game. However, Alves got sent off for a poor challenge in the 69th minute.
CB: Ronald Araujo – 7/10
Araujo made some important clearances at the back and got his name on the scoresheet just before the half-time break.

The Spaniard cleared the danger when required and earned the ball back a couple of times for his team.
LB: Jordi Alba – 7.5/10
Alba equalised for Barca with a great strike and even engineered a couple of decent chances in the final third.

The Spanish youngster did his fair share of defending and made two promising runs from midfield.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 6.5/10
He made some solid tackles to make life difficult for the opposition but offered very little in the final third.

De Jong had a few lively moments but struggled to get a foothold in the game.
RW: Adama Traore – 7/10
He completed a couple of exciting dribbles and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Ferran Torres – 7/10
Torres struggled to threaten the Atletico Madrid goal but ended the game with an assist to his name.
LW: Gavi – 7.5/10
He was strong in the air and tidy with his link-up play. Gavi gave Barcelona the lead with a deflected header in the 21st minute.
