In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona have identified Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak as a target for the summer transfer window. It is understood that the Swedish striker is one of three names in Barca’s wishlist as they look to strengthen their attack at the end of this campaign.

Isak is experiencing a decent campaign in Spanish football after producing a run of eye-catching displays as the spearhead of Real Sociedad’s attack. The 22-year-old has banged in eight goals and provided two assists in 28 matches for the Spanish side this season on all fronts.
The Solna-born sensation has proven himself to be a valuable contributor in the final third based on his average of 2.0 shots, 0.4 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he has been sloppy when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after making 72.6% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).

What Will Isak Add To Xavi’s Side?
Isak has got the knack to create a yard of space for himself to get a few shots in on-target. He can even make some clever runs in behind the opponent’s backline and has done well to transform himself into a prolific finisher in the final third.
The 31-time Sweden international has taken some strides towards improving himself this season, so it makes sense for Barcelona to move in for him in the summer.
At 22, Isak has his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent choice for the Catalan giants to consider at the end of this campaign. We can expect the Real Sociedad star to add more quality to Xavi‘s attack.
