Everton will clash heads with Hull City at the MKM Stadium on Saturday evening as they look to pick up a win and progress into the next round of the FA Cup. The Toffees suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, so they will be eager to bounce back versus Hull City in this cup game.
Benitez could set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of tweaks to his starting XI for this clash on the road. Salomon Rondon will get a chance to spearhead the Everton attack up top.
4-2-3-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Hull City
Defence
Asmir Begovic will feature in between the sticks for the Toffees this weekend. Jarrad Branthwaite is a major doubt for this game but could start alongside Mason Holgate in central defence if he can recover in time for this game.
Jonjoe Kenny will operate at right-back while Ben Godfrey fills in on the other flank as a makeshift left-back. Both of them will be instructed to keep a solid shape at the back and try to create chances for their teammates in the final third.
Michael Keane will offer cover for the defensive positions on the Everton bench.
Midfield
Andre Gomes will anchor the midfield along with Tom Davies as they focus on winning the midfield battle and creating some decent chances in the final third. The talented trio of Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon and Ellis Simms will function just ahead of them as part of the Everton attack.
Gordon managed to score two goals versus Brighton, so his confidence will be sky-high ahead of this cup clash away from home.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Salomon Rondon will act as the focal point of the Toffees attack up top. He will have to find ways to cause a few problems for the Hull City defenders during the 90 minutes.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a significant concern for this game as he is still recovering from a thigh injury.
