Leeds United clash heads with West Ham United in this weekend’s Premier League fixture at the London Stadium on Sunday. Leeds United currently sit 16th in the Premier League table with only 1 win in their last 5 games. Marco Bielsa’s men started the new year on a positive note with a 3-1 win over Burnley but were soon given a setback by the Hammers in their FA Cup 3rd round tie. Bielsa will expect his players to keep up their last league performance going into the next game against the Hammers in order to push above in the table.
3-4-3 Leeds United Predicted Lineup Vs West Ham United
Defence
Illan Meslier will continue between the sticks for Leeds and will hope to keep a rare cleansheet when they face the Hammers on Sunday. Meslier will have to be at his absolute best in order to keep the Hammers attackers at bay.
Luke Ayling, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are expected to start at the heart of the Leeds defence. Marco Bielsa will again opt for a 3-back system after their successful outing in the last league game. All 3 centre-backs will have to be rock solid in order to contain the in-form West Ham attackers on Sunday.
Midfield
Adam Foreshaw and Mateusz Klich are expected to start alongside each other in the middle of the park. Both will have high expectations from Bielsa to control the tempo of the game and also create some decent opportunities going forward for the Leeds attackers. Lewis Bate and Jack Jenkins will be on the bench to provide cover for the midfield areas for Marco Bielsa.
Stuart Dallas and Junior Firpo will start at wing-backs and expect to catch the manager’s eye going forward. Dallas scored in his last league game and will aim to keep up his performance going forward.
Crysencio Summerville will be named on the bench and will be an option for Marco Bielsa to bring on in the 2nd half to replace the tired legs.
Attack
Jack Harrison is expected to start on the left side of the front 3 after his brilliant performance vs Burnley. Leeds United’s top scorer Raphinha will start on the right and will aim to produce another match-winning performance like he has done over the past 2 seasons under Marco Bielsa.
Tyler Roberts will probably get another crack at impressing his manager with Patrick Bamford out with a hamstring injury. Joe Gelhardt and Daniel James will be on the bench providing options for Marco Bielsa to bring on in the later stages of the game.
