According to a recent report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Newcastle United are among several clubs interested in the signing of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Bryan Gil on loan in the January transfer window. It is believed that Spurs could be open for a loan move for Bryan Gil in order to give the Spaniard valuable experience in the Premier League. There has been significant interest from several Spanish clubs including Sevilla who are gunning for his return this January but Spurs are waiting for English clubs to express interest as they want Gil to gain valuable experience in the Premier League.
Bryan Gil’s Limited Playing Time Under Antonio Conte
The 20-year-old joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2021 from Sevilla aiming to make a mark in the Premier League. While integrating into the English top tier generally takes time for every player, the story has been the same for Bryan Gil who is still yet to make a league start this season. The Spaniard has made 20 appearances for the London club across all competition but has failed to get on the scoresheet this season. So as things stand, he is struggling to break into Conte’s side and therefore needs a considerable amount of minutes under his belt for his development.
It is believed that Tottenham Hotspur are open to sanctioning a move in order to provide Bryan Gil valuable experience and minutes on the pitch. Both Sevilla and Valencia are interested to lure the attacker away but Spurs would prefer Gil to move to a Premier League club.
Right Choice For Eddie Howe?
Eddie Howe would be hugely benefited by adding a creative attacker in his attacking department in order to stay up in the Premier League this season. The Magpies have been struggling to get the goals going into the final third this season and hence are hanging in the relegation spots. While Newcastle are not an attractive destination at the moment, they for sure can give the Spaniard more gametime on the pitch.
Bryan Gil is a young winger who has good dribbling skills and can take on defenders easily. He is also remarkably creative in the final third and can set his teammates up in the penalty box. Now it remains to be seen which destination does he prefer after a lot of clubs have shown interest in getting his services this January.
