In a recent report, The Daily Mail mentioned that Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is gathering interest from the Championship with Derby County looking to sign him on loan this month. It is understood that the Rams head coach Wayne Rooney wants to strengthen his squad by landing the Ivory Coast international on loan during this winter transfer period.
Diallo’s Season At Old Trafford So Far
The 19-year-old has struggled to break into the Man United starting XI during this campaign. He has only made one senior appearance for the Red Devils this season which came against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite his lack of game time for Man United’s senior team, Diallo has done well to score two goals and secure one assist in two matches for the club’s Under-23 side in the Premier League 2. At the moment, he is not in contention to feature in Ralf Rangnick’s first XI, so it makes sense for the player to go out on loan so that he can come back as a better version of himself in the summer.
Should Manchester United Loan Diallo Out This Month?
Diallo is a quick and agile winger who can make some dangerous runs with the ball out on the wide areas. He is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can get himself into some promising areas in the final third.
The three-time Ivory Coast international has chipped in with some important goals for Man United at the youth level but the jury is still out on whether he has what it takes to establish himself as a regular feature in the Mancunian club‘s starting XI.
Sealing a move to Derby County on loan will be an attractive move for the talented youngster. Diallo will get a chance to play regularly under Rooney’s stewardship that might help him get ready to succeed at Old Trafford once his loan spell is over. All in all, Man United should consider letting the teenage winger leave on loan before the end of this transfer window.
