It is understood that the Rams head coach Wayne Rooney wants to strengthen his squad by landing the Ivory Coast international on loan during this winter transfer period.

Diallo’s Season At Old Trafford So Far

The 19-year-old has struggled to break into the Man United starting XI during this campaign. He has only made one senior appearance for the Red Devils this season which came against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.

Despite his lack of game time for Man United’s senior team, Diallo has done well to score two goals and secure one assist in two matches for the club’s Under-23 side in the Premier League 2. At the moment, he is not in contention to feature in Ralf Rangnick’s first XI, so it makes sense for the player to go out on loan so that he can come back as a better version of himself in the summer.
