Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to win 3-1 and progress to the 4th round of the FA Cup against Morecambe. Spurs fell behind in the 33rd minute and were left frustrated throughout the game before Harry Winks equalized from a direct free-kick in the 74th minute. Lucas Moura came on in the 2nd half and scored the winning goal in the 85th minute before Kane wrapped up the win in the 88th minute to make sure Tottenham Hotspur qualify for the next round in the FA Cup.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player performed during the contest against the Morecambe.
GK: Pierluigi Gollini – 6.5/10
Gollini didn’t have much to do between the sticks and only had to make 1 save early in the first half.
CB: Japhet Tanganga – 5.5/10
Tanganga didn’t look much comfortable defensively and lost his marker to let Morecambe score and get ahead in the game.
CB: Joe Rodon – 6.5/10
Joe Rodon looked a bit nervy at the start but then got his composure back to see out the game.
CB: Ben Davies – 7/10
Ben Davies looked controlled on the ball and made quite a few underlapping runs going forward. He was also solid defensively.
RM: Matt Doherty – 6/10
Doherty had a poor game as he lacked accuracy in the final third and also in his passing.
CM: Harry Winks – 8/10
Winks scored the important equalizer in the 74th minute from a direct free-kick. The Englishman was all over the pitch and controlled the tempo of the game and was always at the right place to shut out the opposition attacks.
CM: Tanguy Ndombele– 6.5/10
Ndombele tried his best to break the lines but lacked that final ball in his game after he made some great progressive runs.
LM: Ryan Sessegnon – 6.5/10
The young Englishman showed promise with his crisp dribbling by creating a few chances but he missed a glorious chance in front of the goal.
RW: Bryan Gil – 6/10
Gil was not offered any space by the Morecambe defenders and struggled to get going in the game.
ST: Dele Alli – 6/10
Alli dropped between the lines to open up space but hardly had a sniff at goal himself.
LW: Giovani Lo Celso – 7/10
The Argentine assisted 1 goal and created the most chances in the game.
Substitutes:
ST: Harry Kane– 7/10
Harry Kane came on in the 2nd half and scored the 3rd goal for Spurs.
