Real Madrid will entertain Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday night as they look to bounce back with a win in La Liga. Los Blancos suffered a surprise 1-0 loss away at Getafe at the start of this month but did well to pick up a 3-1 win over Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey earlier this week.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to opt for a 4-3-3 formation and could make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Both Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema will play from the start while Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz drop to the bench.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Valencia
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will feature in goal for the Madrid giants after conceding one goal versus Getafe in his last league appearance. Eder Militao will once again operate along with David Alaba at the heart of Ancelotti’s defence as they focus on securing a clean sheet at the back this weekend.
Lucas Vazquez could fill in as a makeshift right-back while Ferland Mendy looks to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them will be eager to get forward and create a few decent chances for their teammates in the final third.
Nacho will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ancelotti’s midfield could be comprised of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric for this game. The experienced trio will hope to dictate the flow of the game at the centre of the park and engineer some promising opportunities for others around them in the Valencia half.
Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Vinicius Junior could get a chance to impress as the left-sided winger while Rodrygo tries to prove his worth on the right. Karim Benzema will act as the focal point of Los Blancos’ attack. The Frenchman will be eager to get his name on the scoresheet following a goalless outfit away at Getafe last weekend.
Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if needed.
