Arsenal will lock horns with Leeds United at Elland Road this Saturday evening as they hope to secure another win in the Premier League. The Gunners picked up an impressive 2-0 victory over West Ham United in the London derby earlier this week, so they will fancy their chances of success this weekend.
Mikel Arteta could choose to go with the 4-4-1-1 formation and is expected to name an unchanged side for this game. Hence, we can once again expect to see Alexandre Lacazette leading the line for Arsenal following his good performance in midweek.
4-4-1-1 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Leeds United
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will operate in goal for the North London outfit after he secured a clean sheet in his last league outing. Ben White will partner Gabriel at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they look to contain the Leeds attackers from scoring this weekend.
Takehiro Tomiyasu will operate at right-back while Kieran Tierney gets the nod to function as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Rob Holding will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he provides cover for the centre-half positions.
Midfield
Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka will play as the holding midfielders for the Gunners. Their main focus would be to make life difficult for the Whites at the centre of the park. Bukayo Saka will be a guaranteed starter on the right flank while Gabriel Martinelli once again looks to put in a productive performance from the left if he can pass a late fitness test.
Martin Odegaard will be given the license to express himself from the number ten position. The Norway international will have to carry most of the creative burden for his team.
Emile Smith Rowe and Albert Sambi Lokonga will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
As mentioned earlier, Alexandre Lacazette will act as the focal point of Arteta’s attack. The French striker has found some form in the Premier League of late, so he will have to produce another impressive performance for the Gunners in the final third.
Eddie Nketiah will make up the numbers on the bench and could feature as a late-game substitute if Arsenal are in need of a goal by then.
