Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to grind out a good result in the Premier League. Spurs made a good start to the game and took the lead in the 13th minute courtesy of Harry Kane’s excellent finish. However, Diogo Jota equalised for the Reds in the 35th minute with a great header which meant that both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
The Merseyside outfit began the second half well and got their noses ahead in the 69th minute when Robertson scored with a good header. However, Heung-min Son found the leveler just five minutes later as the contest finished 2-2 with Spurs grinding out a point.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player performed during the match against the Reds.
GK: Hugo Lloris – 7/10
The French goalie made some solid saves at the back but won’t be pleased after conceding two goals this evening.
RB: Emerson Royal – 7/10
The Brazilian full-back was defensively solid and created a couple of decent chances going forward.
CB: Davinson Sanchez – 7/10
The Tottenham centre-back dominated his penalty box for most of the game and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring more than twice.
CB: Eric Dier – 6.5/10
The English defensive ace tried to keep things tidy inside his half by clearing his lines when the Liverpool attackers were on the offensive.
CB: Ben Davies – 6/10
He made a few crucial clearances at the back but looked nervy at times on the defensive end of the field.
LB: Ryan Sessegnon – 6/10
Sessegnon did not shy away from making a challenge and made one promising run with the ball down the left flank.
CM: Tanguy Ndombele – 6.5/10
He picked up a brilliant assist for setting up Kane’s opening goal. However, he made a quiet start to the second half and got replaced after the hour mark.
CM: Harry Winks – 7/10
Winks protected his backline with conviction and looked bright on the ball as well.
CM: Dele Alli – 6.5/10
The English playmaker caused a few problems for the opposition defenders but missed a glorious chance to score in the first half.
ST: Harry Kane – 7/10
The England international gave Spurs the lead with a great finish. However, he was fortunate to stay on the field after his reckless challenge on Robertson in the first half.

Son was always willing to make late runs behind the Liverpool backline and got rewarded with a goal in the second half following Alisson’s error of judgment.

He added some energy to the Tottenham midfield.
CAM: Lucas Moura – 6/10
