Liverpool will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds managed to beat the Foxes on penalties in the EFL Cup quarter-final stage last week, so they will be full of confidence ahead of this midweek clash.
Jurgen Klopp could stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and is expected to revert to his strongest XI for this game. Both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are guaranteed to play from the start as they look to wreak havoc inside the Leicester penalty box during the 90 minutes.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after shipping in two goals versus Spurs in his last league start. Joel Matip will probably get the nod to operate alongside Ibrahima Konate at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they try to keep things solid at the back this Tuesday night.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Konstantinos Tsimikas fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will be given the license to get forward at every chance they can get.
Andrew Robertson is suspended for this game but Joe Gomez should be fit for a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Klopp’s midfield could be comprised of Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. All three of them will need to be at the top of their game if the Reds are to emerge victorious at the King Power Stadium in midweek.
Jordan Henderson will have to settle for a place on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Sadio Mane will look to give a good account of himself down the left-wing while Mohamed Salah tries to put in a productive display from the right. The Egyptian attacker failed to score versus Spurs, so this game could be a good chance for him to return to his goal-scoring ways in the Premier League.
Diogo Jota will lead the line for the Merseyside giants down the middle following his excellent contributions as a substitute versus the Foxes last week.
Roberto Firmino and Takumi Minamino will be available on the Liverpool bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
