In a recent report, El Nacional mentioned that Real Madrid could be offered a chance to land Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Julian Draxler. It has been claimed that Los Blancos might be able to acquire the services of the German talent for just €15m next year.
Draxler’s Limited Role At Parc Des Princes This Season
The 28-year-old has missed a lot of games during the campaign due to a muscle injury but has done well to produce a few productive displays as a key member of PSG’s attack. Draxler has featured in 14 matches for the French club this season, scoring two goals and securing two assists across all competitions.
The Gladbeck-born talent has seen most of his game time come as a substitute which explains why he is averaging 0.7 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Ligue 1.
Still, he deserves credit for being accurate with his ball distribution after completing 89.8% of his attempted passes in the French first division (stats via whoscored).
Is Draxler A Good Option For Real Madrid?
Draxler has decent pace under his belt and can make some driving runs with the ball out on the wide areas. He has got the vision to cut open the opposition defence with a killer pass in the attacking end of the field.
The 56-time German international can even chip in by scoring a few crucial goals for his team. He is a tidy passer of the ball and packs a lot of power with his shot attempts.
Currently, Real Madrid need to add more firepower to their attack to ease the goal-scoring burden for Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior. Draxler could be a good option for them, especially if they can sign him for €15m next year.
Carlo Ancelotti can expect to get the best out of the German sensation if he is willing to offer him regular playing time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the coming seasons. Draxler has got what it takes to help Los Blancos maintain their dominance in Spanish football and even challenge for the UEFA Champions League trophy in the future.
