According to a recent report by Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are interested to sign West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen as they target attacking reinforcements. Jarrod Bowen has caught the eye of top Premier League clubs after his performances this season and a move to Liverpool might come at the right time for him. Liverpool have been heavily linked with Bowen for quite some time now as they look to improve their attacking options. It is believed that the news of Origi’s departure circulating might tempt the Reds to make a move for the Hammers star in January.
Jarrod Bowen A Key Player For The Hammers
Jarrod Bowen moved to West Ham United in the 2020 January transfer window from Hull City and has been an instant success for the Hammers. In his first season, Bowen scored once and assisted four times in just 11 league starts. He then bettered his statistics in his first full season with Hammers scoring 8 times and assisting 5 in 30 league starts. The 25-year-old is continuing to grow this season and has already contributed to 10 goals in the Premier League in 18 starts for the Hammers.
It is believed that Jarrod Bowen wants to play in the Champions League after helping West Ham qualify for the Europa League last season. With Liverpool wanting to get his services there might just be the opportunity knocking on the door for the Englishman to play against the best of Europe soon. Now it remains to be seen what asking price do West Ham set for Bowen and if Liverpool can match that.
Right Choice For Klopp?
Jarrod Bowen is a highly talented winger who can perform on a consistent basis at the top level. He has a stunning left-foot and has the ability to make things happen out of nowhere. He is a great dribbler of the ball and has a great eye for a final pass. Bowen is also dangerous in dead-ball situations and can strike the ball really well.
Jurgen Klopp has been in need of attacking reinforcements in order to compete at all fronts against the top clubs in England as well as in Europe. Divock Origi is also linked with a move away from the club and if that happens, the Reds will be desperate to replace him. Liverpool will have to open up their purse to have any chance of signing Jarrod Bowen from the Hammers. Klopp is an admirer of the Englishman and it remains to be seen if Liverpool would be keen enough to pursue him.
