AS has recently reported that Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski wants to seal a move to Real Madrid. It has been mentioned that the Polish centre-forward has asked his agent, Pini Zahavi, to engineer a move to join Los Blancos next summer.
Lewandowski’s Excellent Form In The Bundesliga This Season
The 33-year-old is having another special season at the Allianz Arena as he has continued to bang in the goals at a high rate in Germany. Lewandowski has found the back of the net on 25 occasions and provided two assists in 20 matches for the German outfit during this campaign across various competitions.
The experienced Poland international has been a joy to watch in German football based on his average of 4.2 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga. He has even distributed the ball with conviction in the final third after completing 78% of his attempted passes in the English top-flight (stats via whoscored).
What Will Robert Lewandowksi Add To Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti’s Team?
Lewandowski remains an unforgiving finisher in the final third and deserves a lot of credit for deceiving father time and continuing to score goals at a rapid rate at the highest level. He has got a great football IQ and can set up some promising chances for his teammates in front of the opposition goal.
The 128-time Poland international has lost a yard of pace from his game but can still make some clever runs with the ball towards the opponent’s penalty area. Robert Lewandowski will be a dream signing for Los Blancos to pull off at the end of this campaign.
His current contract with Bayern runs out in the summer of 2023, so Carlo Ancelotti could potentially land him on a cut-price deal next summer. At 33, Lewandowski would believe that he has still got a few years left in him to play at his best. Thus, the Madrid giants would be wise to try everything they can to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next year as he will add plenty of quality to their attack. Lewandowski could even form a lethal attacking partnership with Karim Benzema if Los Blancos decide to retain the Frenchman’s services beyond this campaign.
