In a recent tweet, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Barcelona are keen on finalising a move for Manchester City winger Ferran Torres. It is believed that the Catalan giants are pushing on with their attempts to acquire the services of the Spanish attacker but are yet to agree on a fee with Man City.

The 21-year-old has missed a lot of games this season because of a fractured toe. However, the Spaniard has still managed to catch the eye in the limited game time he has received so far in this campaign.
Torres has made seven appearances for Man City this season, netting three goals and picking up one assist in various competitions. The Foios-born talent deserves a pat on the back for averaging 3.3 shots and 1.0 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball well in the final third after completing 77.1% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Will Torres Be A Decent Signing For Barcelona Boss Xavi?
Torres has decent pace under his belt and can make some dangerous runs with the ball in the attacking end of the field. He excels at creating a yard of space for himself to get a few shots in on-target. The 22-time Spain international can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals up top but needs to add a few more assists to his game.
Torres is good enough to serve as a key player for Barca in the coming seasons. At the moment, Xavi is in dire need to add more quality to his attack so that his players can make a strong push for a top-four spot in La Liga this season.
The Man City sensation has what it takes to help Barcelona get back to the upper echelons of Spanish football. At 21, he has got a very bright future ahead of him and would be a good, long-term option for the Catalan giants this winter.
