Real Madrid will face off against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Sunday afternoon as they hope to earn maximum points on the travels. Los Blancos managed to secure a narrow 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao in their last La Liga outing which would give them a lot of momentum ahead of this game.
Carlo Ancelotti is expected to stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation once again and will be forced to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Andriy Lunin, Luka Modic and Rodrygo could all play from the start as the Madrid outfit have a lot of players sidelined due to Covid-19.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Getafe
Defence
Thibaut Courtois tested positive with Covid-19 and won’t play a part in this game. Hence, Andriy Lunin will get a rare start in goal for Los Blancos. Nacho will operate alongside Eder Militao at the centre of Ancelotti’s defence as they try to restrict the Getafe attackers from finding the back of the net this weekend.
Lucas Vazquez will retain his place at right-back while Ferland Mendy hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will be keen to get forward and create some decent chances in the final third.
Miguel Gutierrez will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the left-back position.
Midfield
Ancelotti’s midfield will be comprised of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park and orchestrate some clear-cut chances for their teammates in the attacking end of the field.
Antonio Blanco will be available for selection on the bench as Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga are currently out of action after testing positive with Covid-19.
Attack
Vinicius Junior is ruled out with Covid-19 as well, so Rodrygo could get the nod to operate as the left-sided winger. Eden Hazard will probably keep his place on the right flank as he gets another chance to put in a productive display in the final third. Karim Benzema is expected to lead the charge for Los Blancos down the middle after he scored a brace to win the match versus Bilbao.
Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Madrid club are in need of a goal by then.
