West Ham United will entertain Dinamo Zagreb at the London Stadium this Thursday night having secured qualification into the knock stages of the UEFA Europa League as the Group H winners. The Hammers managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Chelsea in the London derby last weekend, which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this European game at home.
David Moyes is expected to opt for a 3-4-3 formation and could make a few changes to his starting XI in midweek. Both Said Benrahma and Andriy Yarmoleno will play from the start as the West Ham boss looks to fresh up his first team for this game.
3-4-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Dinamo Zagreb
Defence
Alphonse Areola will function in goal for the Hammers while Łukasz Fabiański gets a well-deserved rest. Moyes could choose to name a back three of Craig Dawson, Issa Diop and Harrison Ashby as they try to secure a clean sheet on Thursday.
Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna will both be sidelined for this game due to injuries.
Midfield
Mark Noble and Alex Kral will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. Arthur Masuaku will get the nod to start on the left flank following his match-winning goal performance off the bench in the London derby last weekend. Vladimír Coufal could get a chance to impress on the other side as the right wing-back.
Both Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will be rested on the bench as they offer cover for the central midfield positions. However, Ben Johnson will definitely miss this game because of a hamstring strain.
Attack
Said Benrahma is expected to function as the left-winger while Andriy Yarmolenko would look to catch the eye from the right. Michail Antonio will once again lead the charge for the East London giants down the middle.
Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen will be named on Moyes’ bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
