In a recent report, Birmingham Mail revealed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a loan move for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek. It is believed that both Wolves and Everton are eager to acquire the signature of the Dutch playmaker who has found game time hard to come by at Man United.
Van de Beek’s Growing Struggles At Manchester This Season
Since making a switch from Ajax back in 2020, the 24-year-old has failed to earn regular first-team starts under the stewardship of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Van de Beek’s struggles have continued to grow at Old Trafford as he has made just three senior appearances for the Red Devils this season across various competitions.
The Nijkerkerveen-born sensation has fallen behind the likes of Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay and Fred in the Man United pecking order. Thus, it is difficult to see a way back for him at the Theatre of Dreams unless Solskjaer decides to give him more chances to impress before the transfer window reopens at the start of next year.
Should Manchester United Boss Solskjaer Let Van de Beek Go?
On his day, van de Beek can be a productive presence in midfield as he can score and create some important goals for his team. He can shoot the ball with power and precision and is a tidy passer in the opposition half as well.
The Dutch midfield ace has got the vision to create a few promising openings for his teammates up top. However, the lack of game time has completely hampered van de Beek’s progress in English football.
The 24-year-old has failed to earn Solskjaer’s trust, so it is only logical for the player to seek a move to another top-flight club to ensure that he can get his career back on track. Unless the Man United boss decides to use him more often over the next few weeks, it is only fair to Van de Beek for the Red Devils to let him go during the January transfer window.
