Tottenham Hotspur locked horns with Leeds United earlier this evening, hoping to pick up all three points on their home turf. Daniel James opened the scoreline in the 44th minute as he beat Hugo Lloris on the far post from Jack Harrison’s cross. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg bagged the equalizer for the hosts 13 minutes into the second-half; however, it was Sergio Reguilon who converted from close range in the 69th minute to secure a 2-1 win for his side.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player fared during the clash against Leeds United.
Tottenham Hotspur Players Rated In Win Vs Leeds United
Hugo Lloris 7
The French shot-stopper came out on top more often that not whenever he was put to test by the Leeds frontmen.
Ben Davies 6.5
The Welshman could have done better to stop Daniel James from scoring the opener but it was decent performance nonetheless.
Eric Dier 7
The English defender kept the entire backline in shape throughout the match and made some crucial tackles and interceptions to break down Leeds’ attacking gameplay.
Japhet Tanganga 6.5
The 22-year-old defender asserted his physical dominance over the visitors as he won several important ground and aerial duels.
Sergio Reguilon 8
The Spaniard ran his socks off trying to stretch Tottenham’s attack down the left flank and ultimately got his name on the scoresheet in the 69th minute.
Emerson Royal 6
The former Barcelona wingback showed an attacking intent down the right wing and got the better of his marker on most occasions.
Harry Winks 6
Winks distributed the ball quite well but he should have been a but more careful while in possession of the ball.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 7.5
Apart from putting up a solid defensive performance, the Danish midfielder bagged the all-important equalizer in the 58th minute of the match.
Son Heung-min 6.5
A promising display from the South Korean international but he didn’t look sharp at all in front of the goal.
Lucas Moura 7
Moura’s pace and agility in and around the 18-yard-box created all sorts of menace for the opposition defenders.
Harry Kane 7
The England international did everything right over the course of the ninety minutes but failed to find the back of the net. In fact, this is the best I’ve seen him play for his club this season.

Davidson Sanchez 6
He added solidity to Spurs‘ backline.
Ryan Sessegson 6
He replaced Reguilon for the final 10 minutes of the match.

It was too late when he came on.
