According to a report from Calciomercato, Liverpool face further competition to buy the German striker Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg. It is believed that Inter Milan and Sevilla have entered the race to sign the highly-rated young German striker Karim Adeyemi in the January transfer window. The Reds have reportedly led the race from the start to sign the German but now are facing tough competition from other top clubs in Europe who have shown great interest in him.
Karim Adeyemi’s Electric Start To The Season
The highly talented young German striker has scored 25 goals in 72 appearances for the Austrian club since moving here. This season the versatile forward has netted 15 times and added 2 assists in 22 outings across all competitions including 4 goals in the UEFA Champions League which has caught the eye of top clubs in Europe. Karim Adeyemi has also won 4 penalties in the Champions League so far this season which is the highest by any player in a season in this competition.
The German is under contract at RB Salzburg till 2024 and hence it is understood that it will have to be a big-money signing to get his services considering his performances. Adeyemi is immensely talented and has already shown why he can be a star signing for any top club in Europe.
Should Klopp Ask Liverpool To Buy The German Forward?
With star players like Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane going away for international duty in the month of January to play the AFCON, a versatile player like Karim Adeyemi who can play anywhere across the frontline will be a huge weapon for Klopp to have if Liverpool are to challenge for the Premier League. Their rivals Manchester City and Chelsea have the quality in depth which Liverpool clearly lack and that can be a deciding factor.
The young German striker is pacy and has great skills to dribble past defenders which is ideal for Jurgen Klopp to have in his squad. Karim Adeyemi has also proved his goal-scoring ability this season apart from his breathtaking dribbles and with age on his side, it is believed that Klopp can nurture the forward even more and make him a star like he has done to several other players in Dortmund and now in Liverpool. Klopp will be eager to get the services of the German this January before the other clubs make their move.
