Leeds United clashed heads with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to pick up a positive result away from home. The Whites were solid in the first 45 minutes and went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
It was a similar story in the second half as both teams canceled each other out. Marcelo Bielsa’s men ended up coming away with a hard-fought 0-0 draw from Brighton.
Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player performed during the clash against the Seagulls.
GK: Illan Meslier – 7.5/10
The Whites keeper made a few impressive saves to restrict the Seagulls from scoring during the 90 minutes. He will be quite pleased with the clean sheet today.
CB: Diego Llorente – 6.5/10
The Spaniard kept a good shape at the back and managed to do enough to deny the opposition from finding the back of the net.
CB: Kalvin Phillips – 7/10
He did his fair share of defending in the first half but got substituted at half-time.
CB: Liam Cooper – 7/10
Cooper won the ball back quite a few times for his side and was also not shy of putting his foot through the ball when the opposition were on the offensive.

CM: Junior Firpo – 6.5/10
He kept things tidy on the defensive end of the field and was replaced at the half-time break.
CM: Stuart Dallas – 7.5/10
Dallas made quite a few decent tackles during the game and cleared the danger when needed. He was also quite lively in the final third.
CM: Adam Forshaw – 7/10
The English midfield ace protected his backline well and made one good chance going forward.
RM: Raphinha – 6.5/10
He tracked back to defend when required but failed to give a good account of himself in the final third.
CAM: Rodrigo – 6/10
The Spaniard had two bright moments in the game but never looked like he had a goal in him.
LM: Jack Harrison – 6.5/10
He worked his socks off at both ends of the field during his time on the field. He was taken off after the hour mark.
ST: Daniel James – 6/10
James made two good runs with the ball but lacked the cutting edge in front of the Brighton goal.
Substitutes:
CB: Pascal Struijk – 6.5/10
He performed well enough to secure a clean sheet in the second half.
CM: Jamie Shackleton – 6/10
Shackleton added some bite and steel to Leeds’ midfield.
ST: Tyler Roberts – 6.5/10
He had a few shot attempts but failed to register a goal.
