According to a report by the Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Chelsea are in a pole position to sign Aurelien Tchouameni. The Blues are prepared to pay around €60 million to secure the services of the young French midfielder, who is also being targeted by other top clubs in Europe. It is believed that the Blues will face tough competition from Real Madrid and Liverpool in pursuit of the 21-year-old who has caught the eye of premium sides in Europe’s top five leagues. Several clubs are monitoring Aurelien Tchouameni’s progress as he is considered as one of the highest-rated young players currently.
Aurelien Tchouameni Have Come Leaps And Bounds After Moving To AS Monaco
Since joining AS Monao in January 2020, Aurelien Tchouaméni has come leaps and bounds in the two seasons he has played for the French club. His performances have made him break into the French national side which is believed to have spectacular competition in the midfield. He is considered as one of the highest-rated young players in the transfer market right now.
N’Golo Kante’s injury problems earned Tchouaméni a place in the starting XI of the France national team for the Nations League. He was also a key player in France lifting the Nations League trophy last September and it is believed his value has risen even more after the competition. The young French star will only consider a move outside France if he is guaranteed a starting place in the side to remain in contention for selection in the Qatar World Cup in 2022.
Right Choice For Thomas Tuchel?
Chelsea are eager to land the French international in London having contacted his side to sign him. Chelsea already have one of the best French midfielders in their squad right now in the form of N’Golo Kante but his fitness issues have been a concern for Thomas Tuchel in recent times. The London club are looking to buy Aurelien Tchouameni to be the long term replacement of Kante in the coming years.
AS Monaco has valued Tchouaméni at €50 million but it is believed that Chelsea are open to paying around €60 million for him. The Blues will need to guarantee him playing time so that the midfielder doesn’t miss out on a place in the France national team for the Qatar World Cup next year. Chelsea would hugely benefit from a player of Tchouaméni’s quality and at such a young age, he can play in that midfield for years to come.
