Barcelona welcomed Espanyol at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they focused on securing a positive result in front of their home fans in La Liga. Barca produced a strong performance in the first half but couldn’t make the decisive breakthrough in the first half as they went into the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.
The home side earned an early penalty in the second half which Memphis Depay successfully converted to give Barca the all-important lead. Xavi’s men protected their narrow advantage well and managed to grind out a 1-0 win in the Catalan derby.
Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Espanyol.

He tracked back to defend inside his half when needed and made a few impressive runs with the ball down the right flank.
