The 22-year-old has been a breath of fresh air at San Siro this season as he has already put in a handful of influential displays on the left side of Milan’s attack. Leao participated in 13 matches for the Italian side in the previous campaign, netting five goals and providing two assists in all competitions.
The Almada-born sensation has proven his value as a reliable performer after he averaged 2.5 shots, 0.7 key passes and 2.0 dribbles per game in Serie A. However, he needs to take care of the ball a bit better when distributing it from the wide areas after making 74% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via whoscored).

Leao can use his electric pace to complete some dangerous dribbles with the ball down the left flank. He can use his strong 1.88m frame to shield the ball from the opposition and is not afraid to have a shot at goal from long range.
The Portuguese winger has added some goals and assists to his game but needs to work on improving his link-up play with his teammates in the opponent’s half. At the moment, Leao is quite an exciting talent, so Los Blancos would do well to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in 2022.
