The Reds came back to Anfield after 4 away games on the trott to secure all 3 points vs Brighton and keep up the pressure on league leaders Chelsea. Liverpool started brightly with Henderson scoring as early as 4 minutes into the game with a brilliant curl finish from the edge of the box. Liverpool soon went into a two goal lead when Sadio Mane headed in from close range from a brilliant cross by Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. Graham Potter’s men then responded strongly when Enock Mwepu scored in the 41st minute to keep the tie alive going into the 2nd half. Brighton came up strongly into the 2nd half when they easily bypassed Liverpool’s midfield and they were rewarded deservedly when Trossard finished off a brilliant move to make it 2-2.
