Leicester City entertained Arsenal at the King Power Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home. The Foxes made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Gabriel scored for the Gunners with a fine header. Emile Smith Rowe doubled Arsenal’s advantage just 13 minutes later when he scored with a powerful strike from 12 yards out. Brendan Rodgers’ men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break two goals down and with a mountain to climb in the second half
The Foxes dominated the ball but were not able to break the Arsenal defence down in the second 45 minutes as they ended up losing this home match by a 2-0 scoreline.
Let’s take a look at how each Leicester City player performed during the match against the Gunners.

He made a couple of important interceptions in the first half but could only last 45 minutes.
CB: Jonny Evans – 6.5/10
The English centre-back made some important defensive contributions at the back but won’t be pleased after allowing two goals in the early stages of the game.
CB: Caglar Soyuncu – 6/10
Soyuncu distributed the ball with conviction and produced a lackluster display at the heart of the Leicester defence.
RM: Timothy Castagne – 6.5/10
Castagne won a couple of aerial duels and was quite strong inside his half. He created one key chance during the game.
CM: Youri Tielemans – 7/10
The Belgian talent tried his best to offer protection to his backline and created multiple chances for his teammates to score. However, he couldn’t take any of the opportunities that fell in his path.

He was tidy on the ball but failed to influence the game in the Arsenal half. It was a forgettable display from Soumare today.

Thomas cleared his lines when needed and was also quite lively in the attacking third of the field.
CAM: James Maddison – 6/10
The former Coventry City sensation had some bright moments in the game but flattered to deceive in front of the opponent’s goal.
ST: Kelechi Iheanacho – 6/10
Iheanacho hardly got a sniff at goal in the first half and got substituted at half-time.
ST: Jamie Vardy – 5.5/10

RM: Ademola Lookman – 6/10
He worked hard defensively but failed to impress in the Gunners half.
ST: Harvey Barnes – 7/10
