Chelsea clashed heads with Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to earn maximum points on their travels. The Blues made a solid start to the game and took the lead in the 45th minute when Ben Chilwell scored with a great strike. The visitors went into the half-time interval with a narrow 1-0 lead.
The West London outfit were completely dominated in the second half as Brentford threw everything but the kitchen sink at them. However, Edouard Mendy made a plethora of world-class saves to deny the opposition a goal as Chelsea managed to grind out an ugly 1-0 victory away from home which took them back to the top of the Premier League table.
