Wirtz has started the current campaign in brilliant fashion and recently made his German debut. He came off the bench during the country’s 2-0 away victory against Liechtenstein.

Wirtz is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who has become one of the most valuable youngsters in the Bundesliga. The youngster’s style of play has seen him likened to Chelsea forward Kai Havertz. His compatriot also broke through at Leverkusen before securing a £71m move to Stamford Bridge. Wirtz is fluent on both feet and understands the concept of being in space brilliantly.
