Liverpool will face off against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday evening as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to this Premier League campaign. The Reds managed to secure a 3-0 victory over Norwich City to progress into the next round of the EFL Cup in midweek which will keep them in high spirits going into this league game.
Jurgen Klopp will set his side up in their usual 4-3-3 formation and could revert to his strongest team for this weekend’s clash on the road. However, the Merseyside club will be sweating on the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita as they are both major doubts for this league clash versus the Bees.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Reds after being rested against the Canaries in midweek. Virgil Van Dijk is expected to resume his centre-back partnership with Joel Matip at the heart of Klopp’s defence as they try to keep another clean sheet away from home.
As mentioned above, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a significant concern ahead of this match as he battles his way back from illness. If the English right-back can pass a late fitness test, he will operate at right-back while Andrew Robertson could get the nod to function as the left-back
Joe Gomez, James Milner and Konstantinos Tsimikas will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Klopp’s midfield could be comprised of Naby Keita, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson if Keita can win the race against time to be fit for this game. All three of them will have to press the opposition high up the field so that they can win possession quickly and set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for their teammates up top.
Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be named on the bench as they await their opportunity to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Sadio Mane is a nailed-on starter down the left wing while Mohamed Salah would look to weave his magic from the right. Diogo Jota could once again get the responsibility to spearhead the Liverpool attack down the middle.
Both Mane and Salah are enjoying a good run of form this season, so they will fancy their chances of finding the back of the net when they lace up to face off against the Brentford defenders this weekend. Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino will be available for selection on Klopp’s bench and could come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the match if needed.
