Barcelona will welcome Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night as they look to secure a positive result at home. The Catalan giants managed to earn a 2-1 victory over Getafe before the international break which will give them some momentum going into this blockbuster clash in midweek.
Ronald Koeman will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to opt for a few tweaks to his first team for this game. Philippe Coutinho and Luuk de Jong could get a start in midweek as the Barca boss looks to freshen up his options ahead of this clash.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Bayern Munich
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalans after shipping in one goal against Getafe in his last outing. Gerard Pique will partner up with Ronald Araujo at the heart of the Barca backline as they try to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Sergi Roberto could get a chance to operate at right-back while Jordi Alba fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack as they cannot afford to leave too much in behind them for the Bayern wide players to exploit in midweek.
Midfield
The Barca midfield could be comprised of Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Pedri as they try to make life difficult for the opposition by retaining the ball well at the centre of the park. The talented trio will also have to find a way to engineer some decent chances for their teammates in the final third.
Riqui Puig will offer cover for the midfield positions on the bench.
Attack
Philippe Coutinho could get an opportunity to impress as the left-sided wide player while Memphis Depay looks to produce another goal-scoring display from the right. Luuk de Jong will probably get the nod to lead the line for Barca down the middle. The Dutch striker will be responsible for holding the ball up well for others around him and is expected to be an aerial threat from set-pieces.
