Hugo Lloris didn’t have much to do as Manchester City failed to find the target on many occasions. A relatively easy clean sheet for the Tottenham shot-stopper.

Japhet Tanganga was one of the best players on the pitch, producing a hard-working display in the park. He was a defensive rock throughout the game for the home side.

Davinson Sanchez was a reliable presence at the heart of the Tottenham backline. Won several headed duels to prevent his side from falling into trouble. A very good performance overall.

Eric Dier produced a hard-working display alongside Sanchez in the Spurs backline. His experience was handy in guiding his team through such a mighty Manchester City attack.
Sergio Reguilon: 8/10
Sergio Reguilon had a good game on the far side. He stayed true to his defensive marker, offering stability on the far side for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men. May improve a lot under the new manager.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: 8/10
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was the most vital cog in Tottenham’s second line of press. His tenacity was crucial in pressing the Manchester City midfielders and preventing them from dominating the game.

Oliver Skipp fared well in such a crucial encounter. He stuck to his task, playing particularly well in possession while also being close to his marker in the middle of the park.

Lucas Moura put in a great shift as ever. He was often very hard-working in the final third, looking to find his teammates in and around the attacking area.

Steven Bergwijn had an excellent chance to score in the second half, but the winger put in a great shift in the final third. Always a threat on the counter for Manchester City.
Son Heung-Min: 9/10
Son Heung-Min was undisputedly the best player for Tottenham Hotspur. He was the main man going forward for the Lilywhites, causing all sorts of problems for the Manchester City backline and scoring the exquisite goal in the second half.
